My client, who specialise in the development and reclamation of mine workings are currently seeking a Geotechnical Licensing Officer to join their expanding team in Derby.|
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has an interest in the engineering and development of historical mine workings.
Candidates must hold a strong academic background with a BSc and/or MSc Ming Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, or Civil Engineering and have an understanding of mining and mining risk.
As a Geotechnical Licensing Officer the role will be predominantly office based and you will be working closely with internal departments like the Permitting Team, Geotechnical Engineers and Planning, and also external clients including developers and landowners.
You will be responsible for assessing development schemes taking into account the risk of development proposals and writing reports. You will also be assessing proposals for the remediation of mines and will be granting permits for access to mines.
