Job Summary
AECOM Dublin office is looking to recruit a Treasury Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting function for treasury as well as the general accounting functions and to manage a staff accountant.

This Treasury Accounting Manager position reports directly to the Controller in Los Angeles, California and works closely with the AECOM Treasury team in Dublin. The role encompasses a wide range of activities and accounting responsibilities such as FX hedging, factoring of accounts receivable, intercompany billings, general ledger journal entries, tax accounting and the preparation of accounting statements and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

Treasury Accounting
  • Preparation of monthly interest calculations for intercompany loans in accordance with signed agreements.
  • Monitor foreign currency exposure to the company including reporting on the monthly FX position and explaining movements throughout the month. Revalue foreign exchange derivatives.
Monthly Accounting
  • Close the general ledger each month ensuring that all required journal entries are booked in a timely manner. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations. Liaise with Shared Services Centre in the US and solve any month end queries that arise. Prepare quarterly accounts and variance analysis for presentation to the Board of Directors.
  • Manage the monthly intercompany netting system and book relevant journals. Prepare monthly loan statements and confirm agreement with counterparty. Issue and book monthly intercompany invoices. Assist in the intercompany factoring program.

Minimum Requirements
  • Chartered accountant (e.g. CA, ACA) with big 4 experience
  • Proven experience at a manager level position
  • Strong accounting and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of hedging and derivatives and the impact of foreign currency exchange
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle, Hyperion, Excel
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative, set and meet your own deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Strong time management skills
  • Knowledge of Irish GAAP

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working within a large multinational environment desirable
  • Knowledge of US GAAP (including hedging, derivatives and the impact of foreign currency exchange)
