About the Business Line
AECOM's Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM's Government business line and is comprised of three divisions - International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. GSS supports the U.S. Government, non-U.S. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support.
THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD.
The IT Manager will plan, manage and coordinate the activities of employees assigned to the IT Directorate. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring all IT requirements are met for the Customer and Team URS employees. This position is highly Customer focused and represents Team URS to Customer and vendor representatives.
The IT Manager either directly or through subordinate managers:
•Responsible for development and sustainment of a culture of safety, quality and professionalism within the IT Directorate,
•Provides oversight and direction to the IT Directorate,
•Responsible for ensuring the security of electronic hardware and software in accordance with US Army requirements,
•Responsible for ensuring all hardware and software replacement and upgrade schedules are developed and replacement/ upgrade schedules are met,
•Provides support through subordinate employees to all system users,
•Responsible for keeping Customer representatives apprised of on-going and long-term activities,
•Responsible for the administration of Company policies,
•Directs the implementation of performance management tools by subordinate managers and supervisors.
Requires a Bachelors' degree or equivalent experience in Systems Engineering, Network Engineering or Computer Engineering, or Computer Engineering Technology or a related discipline and a minimum of 10 years of project management experience in IT business processes.
Demonstrated areas of experience must include:
•Systems design, analysis, programming, evaluation, development of formal top level specifications, certification and testing of information management systems including telecommunications and office automation applications,
•Ability to conceptualize requirements and anticipate changes in order to deliver the correct level of IT hardware and software,
•Excellent communication, analytical, project management and leadership skills,
•Ability to handle multiple issues and projects in a changing environment,
•Ability to establish priorities in a changing environment.
