I am currently recruiting a Head/Director of Estates for my client in Surrey.

Reporting into the Director of Capability you will line manage and lead a breadth of Senior Managers responsible for new buildings, (construction, occupation and running), existing buildings, estate manager, site operations and security manager as well as project managers, energy and facilities and commercial manager.

You will also be responsible for:

Deputising for the Director of Capability.
Setting strategic direction by developing the Estates strategy with clear milestones to ensure world class operational standards are achieved and are continually improving.
Maintaining and further developing close working relationships with HSE and other relevant government/regulatory agencies regarding statutory compliance for the operation of TPI facilities and ensuring strategic goals are met.
Ensuring implementation of the Capability Energy Management/ESOS strategy by securing funding for the Energy Sustainability Opportunities and demonstrate progress and best practice for energy reduction and sustainability.

In order to be considered for this role you will need:

Relevant degree and/or experience in lieu of degree.
Business management qualification and/or experience of business management in relevant field.
Experience of team/departmental leadership at senior level.
Experience of working at senior organisational and/or board level.
Experience of managing medium to large projects across multiple departments.
Experience of leading all elements of estate functions including maintenance, energy management, procurement and soft FM.
Experience of High Reliability Operational environments and proven record of delivering culture change to a risk based approach to operations.
Experience of purchasing and procurement regulations and ensuring compliance to UK/EU compliance.
Experience of managing operational budgets both OPEX and CAPEX.


Experience of operational running of a highly regulated estate.
Experience of large change projects/programmes.
Relevant professional PPM membership.
