An opportunity has arisen for a Support Worker to join a children's care provider based in Raynes Park. We are a provider of residential and short break care for children aged 8 -18 years old. We specialise in working with children with autism and learning disabilities.
The Support Worker's role will involve:
To contribute to the provision of a secure, stable, supportive environment for young people which respects and promotes their health, culture, religion, race, identity and lifestyle.
To safeguard and promote the welfare of all children and young people.
To provide personal care and support to the children and young people.
To follow policies and procedures and ensure a safe, secure and healthy environment at all times
Ensuring the highest standards of care in relation to the children's physical, behavioural and emotional needs.
The successful Support Worker will have:
Some experience of working with children with autism and multiple learning disabilities ideally but not essential
Ability to provide consistent care and support to the young people
Ability to work as part of a team
If applicants do not already hold a Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare or Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent then it is essential applicants are willing to undertake this qualification.
The hours of work are 36 per week, combination of 5 shifts per week which are 0700:15.00 and 14:00-22:00.
This role is subject to a DBS check.
