This role is of critical importance, as the successful candidate will work to ensure that Cyber Security is introduced into the life cycle of all projects and special tasks and continues to be reviewed throughout their duration.
The role will include the continuous development, implementation and management of Cyber Security controls to address risks identified within the IT Risk Register (covering both internal and 3rd party service providers It environments. Residual risks from Projects and Special Tasks will also be captured within the IT risk Register and subject to the same rigour.
- Ensures maximum output from investment in a range of Cyber Security controls including Qualys, Mimecast, Tufin, Skyhigh, and Splunk. Contributes to the selection and implementation of new controls.
- Ensures the various internal and external technology support teams have timely notification and knowledge of Microsoft and non-Microsoft technologies that require patching. Measures performance and escalates when timescales are breached.
- Member of the IT Duty Manager rota (ITDM) to provide support to major incident management and resolution.
The scope of Cyber Security services includes oversight of internal and perimeter Firewalls, hosted IT applications and systems, Cloud based applications, Application Infrastructure, Databases, Servers, Networks, Incident Notification and Escalation, Incident Response, Operational Processes development, Pen Test coordination, planning and follow up
