Microscopist - Could suit Science Graduate|
£15 to £16k
My client supports research and development departments around the world in the food and drink industry. They are a centre of excellence for new methods of testing and training and are constantly improving their services, knowledge and expertise; is this the type of company that you believe can enhance your career?
The successful candidate will be part of team, using a variety of techniques and specialist technology, tasked with the identification and reporting of foreign bodies found in food. Some other duties include care-taking and administrative tasks.
You will be familiar with some if not all of the following equipment:
• Light microscope
• X-ray microanalysis
• Scanning electron microscope
• Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy
Ideally we are looking for someone who is a life sciences graduate or has worked in chemical analysis before. You will be practically minded and possess a common sense approach to work. A background of laboratory equipment, techniques and procedures would be advantageous but not essential.
