Chartered Engineer, Naval Architect or Mechanical engineer |
Significant proven sub-sea or offshore pipeline installation analysis experience. This is an essential requirement
Have offshore/marine experience in any of the following areas: vessel design/operation, transport and installation, heavy lift, subsea and/or pipeline installation.
Able and willing to mentor less experienced staff.
Role is office based but candidate will need to be flexible to travel abroad and to offshore locations for periods of time.
Team player - collaborating with the MWS Team Leader and Manager in effective coordination and efficient delivery of the Work.
Have a keen interest and aptitude for the development and mentoring of others
Have excellent client relationship and communication skills
Have experience of delivering Projects within schedule and on budget and can demonstrate a proven ability for project management. In this senior position you will be responsible for managing project budgets and schedule including invoicing and management of change.
Will possess up to date knowledge of Loadout, Installation and transportation methods, codes of practice, Rules and Guidelines.
Ability to write high quality reports in English
Proven Track record in onshore work
A willingness to accept constructive feedback
Ability to work on a number of projects at any one time and to prioritise those requiring immediate attention
Key accountabilities include;
Key team member for delivery of MWS projects, including: project management, delegating certain projects/tasks, briefing project staff, risk management, ensuring applicable standards and laws are followed, liaising with clients, technical delivery and liaising with Technical Authorities, report writing, checking, authorisation, submission.
Ensure that the project is delivered in accordance with the highest technical standards and current codes and standards, where necessary collaborating with the Technical Authorities.
Ensuring that Marine Warranty activities are completed in accordance with client contract requirements including project administration, change control, progress reporting towards the client and invoicing.
As project manager you will be responsible for meeting the project schedule and budget for MWS projects.
To be responsible for ensuring personal safety and that of direct report staff and subcontractors working for the company.
To collaborate with Mariners regarding operational and specialist marine matters.
Preparation of bids for MWS Engineering ITT's in conjunction with the MWS Team Leader and Manager
