Location - Cambridge
We are currently seeking a Site / Plant Manager to oversee the smooth day to day running of a food waste to energy anaerobic digestion plant near Cambridge. Our client is a huge name in the food industry supplying sustainable fresh produce via their farms in the UK. They own a large AD plant and are searching for a hands on and experienced Manager with a farming background to join their team.
As a Site/Plant Manager your responsibilities will include:
* Ensuring the safe running of the plant to maximise performance
* Monitoring the feedstock quality and supply
* Ensuring KPI's are met, keeping plant records, budgets etc.
* Understanding the anaerobic digestion process and making sure the digestate stock levels are consistent
* Enforcing and adhering to the company's strict health & safety standards
* Communicating and reporting into the Managing Director
* Overseeing external contractors
* Testing the digestate when required
* Fully understanding the digestate process
The ideal applicant will be flexible with working weekends and bank holidays on a 1 in 3 rota. Have a hands on and relevant Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/ONC Etc.), be able to share on- call responsibilities with their team, have previous experience working on an anaerobic digestion plant, although not mandatory it would be advantageous, a dairy farming/agricultural background working with live stock/feed waste/herding etc
This position is offering a salary of c£35,000 depending on experience, company vehicle, great company pension, subsidised 3-bed farm house accommodation included.
