A structural engineer is required to join this small, reputable and well established central London structural design consultancy. The firm provide a comprehensive range of structural engineering services. They undertake the structural design of buildings and associated civil engineering works and their projects vary in scale from shopping centres to alterations to domestic houses and include offices, schools, museums, shops, swimming pools, listed buildings and leisure centres. They also undertake structural surveys and advise on structural problems. Projects are often complex and range from £2m up to £8m. Many of the current projects are refurbishment works/cut and carve.|
You should be sufficiently experienced to be able to run small jobs independently and be able to design in all the main materials. You should have both new build and refurbishment experience. The role will include feasibility work and assessment of existing structures. You would need to liaise with clients and attend meetings so good communication skills are essential. UK buildings design experience and experience of working on small projects is essential. You should be keen to progress your career in a happy and friendly firm.
The firm have several Chartered engineers so can provide good support for Chartership training. The role would suit an individual who wants a varied workload and to be involved in all aspects of projects from conception to completion.
