Shift - Mon - Fri 11am - 7pm

The company

My Client is a uniquely integrated sales, distribution and manufacturing operation with a significant expertise in a range of paper and plastic based packaging products. Their state of the art warehousing and customer driven transport strategy enables them to distribute up to 1,300 pallets of products every day to customers in over 20 different countries. With over 1,000 employees worldwide they generate revenues exceeding £170million. This current site has room for more than 34,000 pallet locations and cranes exceed 30meters in height.

The Role

My Client is hiring for a multi skilled maintenance engineer to cover breakdowns and servicing on equipment such as Cranes, Conveyors, Motors, Inverters, PLCs, Pallet wrappers and more. There will be a minimal amount of project work involved also but 80% of your time will be covering breakdowns and the rest will be PPMs.

Day one you will be shadowing another engineer or the Head Of Engineering for a few weeks so you can get a feel for the role and gain a better understanding but eventually will be required to work off your own back and work independently.

The Candidate

The right Multiskilled maintenance engineer will have the following skills and experience

* Fault Find on PLCs (hook and look)
* Be able to work at heights due to the 30m high cranes
* Flexible approach to work
* Able to read electrical drawings

My candidate is looking for someone who is willing to dive in and get their hands dirty. If you have a 17th edition and/or Siemens Profibus experience, this would be a distinct advantage
