Following increasing work, we now have an opportunity available for a Workshop Technician to join us at our Service Centre in Belfast.

We are a leading UK manufacturer and supplier of clinical beds, pressure mattresses, treatment furniture and other supportive medical products to the social care, NHS, Private Hospitals, Care & Nursing home and distributors across the UK.

The Role

The role of Workshop Technician is split into three main areas; looking after in house repairs, managing the decontamination unit as well as stores. This will enable the turnaround and repairs, competitor's rental equipment and customer owned equipment.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

* The service and repair of PAC systems, pumps, mattresses and cushions, full training will be provided.
* Cleaning and repair of a wide range of products returned to the Service Centre consisting of such items as hospital beds, dynamic/static mattresses, and spare parts from medical equipment.
* Ensuring the correct use of cleaning materials e.g. chemicals, cleaning procedures and cleaning equipment and spill kit when performing duties to comply with our Infection Control Policy.
* Ensuring waste/clinical waste disposed correctly in-line with our Infection Control Policy.
* Checking all equipment is clean and working correctly before use. This includes a weekly temperature check on the washing machine.
* To accurately record all movements of equipment by completing the necessary paperwork. Keeping all necessary paperwork and administration documentation as required.
* Report all losses and/or damaged immediately to Service Centre Manager.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5.00 pm; applicant must have a flexible outlook on hours to be worked.

Additional Salary Information:

Competitive rate, 34 days annual leave, Pension enrollment
