We are delighted to be working with one of the UK's leading names in fresh produce to recruit a Continuous Improvement Manager to be based in Worcestershire to work very closely with the Operations Director to develop the CI strategy and programme and act as a change agent for leading and managing Continuous Improvement processes while instilling a culture of accountability.

The company uses innovative state of the art techniques to ensure that they continue to evolve and they are looking for a passionate CI Manager to lead and manage CI projects whilst being responsible for building and leading the CI journey applying the most relevant tools so a strong background in Continuous Improvement with Lean manufacturing knowledge and Lean Sigma techniques is required.

In this role you will also train others in the CI concept and programmes that you have developed delivering tangible results in quality, cost and delivery whilst ensuring safety remains the primary consideration.

Main responsibilities:
• Coordinate continuous improvement throughout the site
• Deliver projects to meet site KPI's via integrated improvement plan
• Support the development of a culture which promotes problem elimination, whilst devising and implementing improvements to systems, methods and procedures
• Implement lean manufacturing principles (TPM, SMED 5S, VSM)
• Develop employees through awareness programmes of the Lean Toolkit
• Manage change programmes through employee communication, involvement and engagement
• Ensure Compliance at all times with operating procedures and safe systems of working

The successful candidate will:
• Demonstrable track record of successfully delivering Continuous Improvement Programmes using Lean Principles
• Have the ability to work within a multi-functional environment
• Show initiative to identify and drive areas of improvement across the site
• Possess strong influential skills
• Have structured problem solving skills
• Ideally have a background within a fresh produce or food manufacturing environment
• Six Sigma Green Belt or black belt or equivalent
