Our Minneapolis office is seeking an Engineering Intern to support the Transit & Rail group for the summer of 2017. This candidate should be enthusiastic and self-motivated and will be responsible for assisting engineering and technical staff in day-to-day project duties. Some of the exciting projects that an intern may assist with include the Metropolitan Council Blue and Green LRT lines (Twin Cities area), and a wide range of rail signaling projects for Metra and other agencies and railroads.

Job duties include:
      • General engineering and planning support
      • CADD drafting
      • Signal-related engineering support
Project Description:

This position will support a wide variety of projects.

Job Requirements
The candidate must meet the following requirements:
      • Must have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours
      • Must possess an interest in transit & rail related projects and issues
      • Must be flexible to participate in field inspection work
      • Proficiency with CADD software, Microstation preferred.
      • Proficiency with MS Office software
      • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
Education Requirements:

Must be enrolled in a civil, electrical, or similar engineering program in an accredited School of Engineering. Ability to work in this country immediately required. Considering local candidates only.
