What does a Call Center Agent do and how do they impact our customers and our business? As a Call Center Agent you are responsible for all incoming customer service calls and the delegation of the customer work requests, dispatching and scheduling technicians as required. Furthermore, you act as an administrative support system to the service department. It could be a regular scheduled visit to keep their equipment in optimum condition or a breakdown situation that could potential impede their business productivity thus their profits. Your leadership, responsiveness and customer care attitude take the required actions to ensure the service team delivers efficient and effective coordination and billing in priority. If you are highly detailed, organized with strong computer skills and like a fast-paced call center environment where you can motivate others to achieve high standards in service, accurate and timely billing you would thrive in this role. Some daily tasks include issuing purchase orders for clients' service needs and manage work orders for your technicians after they have completed their maintenance calls. The call center agent will manage the issuing of purchase orders for special parts for technician pick-up or shipment to customer sites. Your follow-up and organization skills will be put to use when liaising with customers to ensure their request has been met. You will interact with other departments with respect to new equipment and rental deliveries. The quality of your work directly influences customer satisfaction, loyalty and departmental profits.
