Group SJR Canada is currently hiring an Account Manager to help manage the content strategy and day-to-day activities of some of its clients. This position will be based out of SJR Canada's Toronto office. At SJR Canada, we're a diverse group of individuals dedicated to one goal: elevating the quality of content on the web. We create websites, mobile apps, and social media platforms for our clients, which we populate daily with high-quality media including articles, mini-documentaries, animations, photographs and more. Our team of web developers, designers, photographers, videographers and editors produces our creative work in-house. Storytelling is at the heart of what we do, and we're looking for creative people who can jump right in and help us uncover and tell great stories. This Account Manager position will be responsible for frequent client contact with brand management as well as other client team members. S/he will need to demonstrate a strategic understanding of the client business and the ability to provide sound and responsible client counsel. This is a one-year, renewable contract with benefits. Responsibilities: Maintains frequent and effective contact with members of the client brand teamAbility to build client relationships and provide service that exceeds expectationsParticipates in the promotional planning process and manages daily execution of approved promotional plansAcquires thorough knowledge of client's business to anticipate marketing and advertising challenges and opportunitiesDemonstrates strong understanding of the brand, ensuring the creative team produces high quality work that's on strategyMonitors competitive promotional initiativesAssist team with preparation for all client status updates, communications, and meetingsDocument client discussions and action items for team review including contact reports and status reportsFollow up on action items with team/client to ensure completionResponds to both internal and external client requests promptly and appropriatelyEnsure solid understanding of client's financial management/invoicing/budget submission requirements Requirements: Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan and prioritize effectivelyCapable of troubleshooting challenges by demonstrating creative problem solvingSecures an understanding of the clients business by reading clinical studies and trade publicationsUnderstands advertising fundamentals, including positioning, branding and principles of good creativeSolid oral and written communication skillsWork independently with minimal supervisionRecommends ways to improve work processes and efficienciesBachelor's degree with 4+ years in advertisingDemonstrates client management experience Someone creative who works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders A strong understanding of social media best practice, digital trends, channels, platforms and creative campaignsA voracious appetite for creative content, with ideas for how brands can tell their stories in new and interesting ways About Group SJR Group SJR was founded to address the greatest challenge and opportunity marketers and communicators face today--audience.
