Adecco are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor for our client based in Naezing, Essex. Our client is a very busy family run business and is looking for a skilled and experienced Warehouse Manager to join their lovely team. |
This role is a combination of both management and supporting the team in the day to day running of the warehouse. The role will be to assist in managing a cost effective & efficient warehouse operation, ensure manning & equipment levels are maintained to ensure full warehouse operation with particular emphasis on following company procedure.
Working hours will be Monday to Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm, offering a salary of £18,500- £22,500 per annum.
Daily Duties will include:
*To unload deliveries in a safe and controlled manner.
*To manage & rectify the awareness of hazards resulting in spills / leakages from any product. Such problems should be dealt with immediately or reported to others for action to be taken.
*Make sure the warehouse is checked on handover for any damages; if damages are found then they must be reported.
*Sign delivery notes and correcting where stock delivered has been different from that shown on delivery note
*Manage the competent assembling of different types of orders for despatch with complete product familiarisation.
*Ensure new stock has been put away safely and notify goods in supervisor of any shortages
*Maintain housekeeping and notifying warehouse manager of any faults to the racking, goods, machinery, internal and external parts of the building
*Complete all paperwork clearly and neatly gaining authorised signatures where needed
*To maintain the general health, safety & welfare of your staff.
*General warehouse duties such as picking, packing and administration.
The ideal candidate will have:
*Proven experience within a warehouse supervisory role or managerial role.
*Proven experience in stock control and stock control databases.
*Proven experience within team leading and supervising a team.
*Computer literate with an understanding of all stock control systems.
*To have a hands on approach and willing to get stuck in to all aspects of the role.
*An understanding of health and safety procedures in the warehouse.
*Excellent communications skills.
