1st/2nd LINE SUPPORT TECHNICIAN|
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
*To provide 1st and 2nd line support and guidance to the UK user base on IT support issues.
*To assist the IT Infrastructure Team in securing and maintaining the IT infrastructure systems required by the business.
*To share appropriate technical knowledge with users and to provide basic training on systems and applications as required.
*To maintain relationships with third-party suppliers and maintainers.
*To support the departmental manager in achieving the departmental objectives.
As this is an internal service role the ideal candidate will be confident and socially adept and have previously worked in a similar position. The successful candidate will be a good team player and communicator and will have experience of day-to-day support of at least 100 users, both local and remote.
You will have professional experience within the following areas:-
*Windows 7 Administration
*Microsoft Office 2010
*Printer Support & Configuration
*Desktop/ Laptop computer hardware configuration and installation
*Basic Networking experience
*Data backup technologies
*IT Security Practices and Concepts
*Excellent personal and inter-personal skills
*Strong communication skills
*Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
*Availability and commitment to the role
*Ability to follow methods and procedures
*Well-organised, able to prioritise and multi-task and also have the ability to work unsupervised
