My Client are a global energy company who specialise within natural gas, utilities and electricity and are specialists within renewable energy, energy efficiency, liquefied natural gas and digital technology. They are extremely successful with a number of large international contracts.
They are looking to ramp up on their recruitment process on some of the most innovative and largest ever private energy investments to date! They have offices across the UK and internationally, but this specific role will be based in West Yorkshire, and will be based on a permanent basis.
I am currently looking for the correct person to play an integral role as part of their design team to deliver specialist high-voltage and low-voltage electrical engineering design support, focussing on project delivery from concept through to completion. You must be an out of the box thinker, and have innovative ideas on how to better my clients design for projects on a daily basis.
About the role:
You will be tasked to do, but not limited to:
** Support the project teams in terms of design.
** Deal with internal and external customers, external statutory bodies, suppliers and contractors
** Safely and efficiently integrate energy plant services
** Provide on-going operations support
** Carry out preliminary studies, prepare cost estimates and develop installation design detail in the form of models, reports, schedules and AutoCAD drawings
** Maintain knowledge of current technical and safety legislation, standards and best practice guidance
Essential qualifications and experience:
** Preferably a Chartered Electrical Engineer, or working towards this status
** Substantial experience of applying electrical engineering design principles across a broad range of industrial and commercial energy services plant and systems at high-voltage and low-voltage is essential. Ideally this will include liaison with electricity distribution network operators, and the preparation of generation new connection application
** Strong written and verbal communication and information technology skills are essential
** A team player who can get on well within a growing team
Desirable qualifications and experience:
** Experience in the application of electrical design software for high-voltage and low-voltage short-circuit current studies, protection systems design, and earthing systems design
** Project management experience, including the installation of industrial and commercial energy services plant and systems at high-voltage and low-voltage
** Experience in the role of Authorised Person/Authorising Engineer (HV and LV)

What we are looking for in you:
I'm ideally looking for somebody who has had experience within the power / gas industry as the projects specifically tend to incorporate steam, hot water and electrical power generation. I need someone with an outgoing personality, and good all round knowledge in all electrical power generation. You must be equally good at report writing with knowledge of basic Microsoft applications. E.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, able to read and understand programmes.
We are looking for someone with leadership qualities, so that we can move you up the ranks quickly as the business grows. Also we need someone who can help to drive the department forward with creative thinking.
