Our client is a fast track interior fit out contractor with a number of projects running nationwide. We are currently looking to recruit a Site Manager with a joinery / fit out background to work on shopfitting projects that are due to start. |
These retail fit out projects are based all over the UK so we need someone who is willing to work away from home and stay in accommodation provided by our client. Each project runs for 3 weeks and there is a current roll out that lasts 3-6 months.
The site manager will be required to work 10-12 hour day shifts with weekends off. Some weekends may be required if the project needs the manager to be there in special circumstances. We therefore need someone who is used to working long hours on this type of retail project.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Site Manager with a proven track record of managing fit out / refurbishment projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all site work is carried out to the highest of standards whilst maintaining a high degree of control over the health and safety on site.
Excellent communication skills will be key as you will be liaising with people across all levels including direct labour, sub contractors, senior management and end-users.
The ideal person for this project will come from a fit out / refurbishment background, be willing to work/lodge away from home and have a minimum of 5 years Site Manager experience in fit out / refurbishment.
