Network Engineer, ISP, CCNA, JNCIA, Routers, Switches |
This is a great opportunity for a CCNA-level Network Engineer to join a wildly successful company during a period of strong growth. As part of a dedicated team within an exciting, fast-moving environment, this is an excellent time to join a company with great promise! Great opportunities for progression await the successful Network Engineer, with the chance to move into a 3rd line, design and project-focused, core networking position in the future.
The Network Engineer will be joining one of the UK's most exciting ISPs, at the forefront of fibre technology. Privately-funded and with heavy investment, they are doing some amazing things! Rapid growth saw them move last year into state of the art offices to allow for further expansion, and 2016 is already proving to be an exciting year for them!
Holding a key role within a growing team, the Network Engineer will work in a wide-ranging, customer-focused position, as a point of escalation from the 1st line customer service team. An enquiring mind partnered with a passion for troubleshooting/problem-solving is required, as instead of being tied to just one key vendor, the successful Network Engineer will be working across a range of technologies and ISP services, with several key suppliers, including Cisco and Juniper.
What Experience do I need?
Whilst my client will consider a Network Engineer from any background, the successful Network Engineer is likely to have gained experience within service provider environments - either an ISP or Managed Service Provider. More importantly though, my client is looking for someone who is technically curious, with excellent customer-facing skills. The wider your breadth of technical networking experience, the better, but you will need the following:
• Solid networking skills with routers, switches, VLANs
• Solid experience with networking protocols including OSPF
• CCNA/JNCIA level skills with a range of vendors, such as Cisco and Juniper
• Any experience with BGP and core networking would be looked upon favourably
I want to do that!
This Network Engineer position really does offer an unparalleled opportunity to join a company at the forefront of their industry in an exciting period of growth and development. If you have any questions or would simply welcome a chat about this excellent Network Engineer position and company, just call me or drop me an email, as I'd love to hear from you! If, though, you think this role could be right for you and you'd like to learn more, then please apply now.
