This is an exciting opportunity for a 2nd Line Technical Support Engineer to join the World Leader in the IT Data Management Sector based in Reading.|
Due to their continued success and achievements they have seen a mass amount of growth around the world and lead the market against competitors such as IBM, HP, EMC, Veeam and Symantec.
You will join a team of creative and analytical thinkers who love deep dive technical troubleshooting.
You will be fully trained and certified in my client's market leading product, whilst also gaining skills in different technical areas such as Windows, Virtualisation, Messaging, Storage and Backup technologies.
This role has no ceiling on technical ability and you will own an issue from initial pick-up all the way to working with the development team on identifying a possible solution.
•Experience working in a 1st or 2nd Line Technical Support position.
•Loves to take on new technical challenges and is open to develop their technical skills in a series of different technologies.
•Experience supporting the Windows OS and exposure to Windows Server would be beneficial.
•Experience working with and a good understanding of Active Directory.
•A good understanding of Network fundamentals such as: Ping, TCP/IP, Ipconfig commands.
•Experience in at least ONE of the following technical areas would be beneficial:
•VMware or Hyper-V
•Exchange 2010 upwards
•Backup Technologies such as: CommVault, BackupExec, NetBackup, Veeam, Datto
•Storage Technologies such as: NetApp, EMC, HDS or HP
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
