Senior Sql Server / C# (MVC) Developer - small team, great company! Option to work from home after 3-6 months.|

Location: Stratford upon Avon, commutable from Warwick, Leamington Spa, Coventry, Rugby, South Birmingham, Evesham, Worcester
Salary: £40k - £50k + pension + health + bonus + 25 days holiday (option to exchange benefits for up to £5k extra salary).

Here at Rebel Recruitment we only work with companies we are proud to represent. Companies that treat their people well, have interesting and challenging projects and where people can genuinely develop their skills and careers.
Working exclusively with one such company, we are looking for an experienced senior developer to take ownership over some of their highest profile and most valuable systems. Several development projects are integral to their growth plans and as such they need an expert developer to take over the development and evolution of their software, adding additional functionality, developing new modules and integrating new technology into their software.
The company team develops software in C# with (url removed) MVC, Entity Framework and SQL Server 2008/2012. For this role they are interested in either an experienced C# developer with strong Sql Server development skills or, alternatively, a crack Sql Server developer with some C# exposure. If your C# knowledge is limited but you have bags of Sql Server development skills (including OLAP, Data Warehousing etc.) they will still consider you, as long as you are genuinely interested in and capable of expanding your programming knowledge and picking up C# pretty quickly. You will have the support of other senior developers and the development manager but you'll need to be someone who has a track record of self development and learning to show you are more than capable of filling in any knowledge gaps quickly.
As this role is ultimately going to be very autonomous and senior within the team, it requires someone with a high level of technical credibility who has worked at a similar level previously. There may also be the opportunity to mentor or manage other more junior members of the team further down the line (if you so wish). Although the team has their own business analysts, you will also be involved in high level analysis and user interaction, so confident communication ability rounds off the list of required skills.
This is a genuinely challenging and rewarding opportunity to join a thriving company and a team where people chose to stay for a long time. After the first 6 months you will have the chance to work from home occasionally, regularly or even full time so if you're looking for flexibility and autonomy there will be few other positions that can compete!
On offer is a basic salary between £40k - £50k + private health care, excellent pension scheme, 25 days holiday + more. There is also an option to cash in some or all of the benefits for £1k - £5k extra in salary.
The interview process will start with a brief, no obligation phone call with the development manager to establish suitability both ways, so don't worry about an overly formal, time consuming interview process!
If you are interested please apply for a guaranteed, swift, personal response. Alternatively you can call us in complete confidence.
