Do you have a strong mechanical background as a machinist/toolmaker? Have you got a proven track record in an engineering/production/manufacturing manager role within a similar environment?
Established over 80 years ago this company design develop and supply specialist electronic equipment into a range of industries worldwide. With the business currently expanding and new developments coming to fruition they require a manager to oversee their press shop, tool room and assembly departments.
In this role you will be responsible for managing 30-40 staff across 3 key departments that produce parts, prototypes and assemble products using welding techniques. You will oversee materials (through an MRP system) equipment and processes to ensure products meet customer expectations whilst maintaining quality standards throughout.
The ideal person will have a strong, hands-on metalwork background to with an understanding of how parts are manufactured and assembled as well as the issues faced during these processes. You will have then progressed into a management role where you've led teams successfully.
