We are recruiting for a qualified Design Engineer ideally with electrical design as well as piping and isometrics drawings/design for a Client in Gateshead to join a small design team.|
The role of Project Design Engineer is primarily associated with the detailed design engineering designs and drawings which have an engineering content.
The process includes:
Upon receipt of a client purchase order review of technical quotations to ensure that all relevant requirements have been met.
Review of information available to allow a detailed design to be compiled.
Preparation of detailed design and drawings. This is carried out in conjunction with internal design software.
Checking of detailed design after preparation of 'CAD' drawings ('CAD' by others).
Communication with clients on technical matters.
Liaising with internal personnel for issue of drawings and material management.
Salary on offer up to £30,000pa
The role involves both electrical and mechanical (piping) data therefore someone with experience in one or either of these disciplines.
A knowledge of piping drawings (isometrics) would be beneficial.
Strong communicator, both orally and written.
Good IT knowledge. Ability to work in Excel and present documents in an orderly manner.
Flexible, hard working in a demanding environment.
Formal qualifications of a specific level are not a pre-requisite however it is expected that interested applicants will have a time served level qualification of a degree.
Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
