Design Engineer (SolidWorks)|
£33,000 + Car + 4% Pension + 25 Days Holiday (Increases in time)
34.5 Hours a week Monday to Friday
Design Engineer with SolidWorks experience available within a leading design and manufacturing company. The company have a culture of entrepreneurial spirit, innovation and high standards.
You do not need deign experience of mould tool parts to apply for the role, full training will be given. You will work with a very competent Mould Engineering team enabling you to pick specifics up quickly.
In this role you'll design new moulds and mould parts using SolidWorks and amend existing drawings. The role will suit someone who likes working in a varied team based role. Internally you'll work with shop floor, production, engineering and R&D. Externally the company have a close working relationships with tooling specialists. An understanding of workshop techniques including milling, turning and welding is advantageous but not essential, the right person is the key!

• To work with the Product Development Team and Mould Engineering Manager to understand the requirements for a new product design or a variation to an existing design.
• design new moulds and mould parts using Solidworks and amend existing drawings
• continuous improvements to mould design and mould manufacture.
