The company are a world leader in the design and manufacture of automated robotic machinery used in a variety of industries. The company are going through a period of huge growth due to winning a number of large projects with major blue chips and are looking for a Design Draughtsman to support their busy design department. This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding company working at the cutting edge of their field, they are looking for forward-thinking individuals who share their passion for groundbreaking design and innovation.
Working as a Design Draughtsman you will be responsible for working within a hugely experienced design team to help deliver multiple high-value projects on time to the companies high standards. The main function of this role is to support product design and development by preparing product models, drawings and design specifications to help construct parts, test jigs, fixtures and machine assemblies using Solidworks.
The successful candidate will be a passionate and driven individual with a real interest in mechanical engineering. Candidates will have worked on the design of machined components within a small batch, high-value production environment and be experienced Solid Edge or highly proficient Solid Works users. The company are looking for good engineers who would like to work in a high achieving team for a company who genuinely want to development their staff.
* Experienced in producing drafts from 3D solid models.
* Some experience of MRP systems and business systems (training can be given in the use of the current MRP/Business System).
* Knowledge of and experience of working within an ISO 9001 environment.
* An understanding of Drawing/Part release and Engineering Change Control processes.
