At Network Rail our goal is to provide a safe, reliable and efficient railway fit for the 21st century. We've already been busy revitalising Britain's railway for over a decade - and the future looks every bit as exciting, with around 5,000 new projects planned over the next five years. |
Our Asset Information (AI) team is part of a Group Digital railway department that's bringing together an industry wide Digital Railway Programme to set the vision and strategy for tomorrow's railway. AI provide the trusted asset-related data and information management, insight and tools it takes to enable the industry's customers to make better informed business decisions that further improve the safety, effectiveness and efficiency of the railway as a system. It's here that we need your help.
As an Examinations Inspector, you'll be responsible for reviewing and validating the outputs from the Plain Line Pattern Recognition (PLPR) data, Track Geometry data and other systems as necessary. Day-to-day, you'll inspect, verify and record all infrastructure defects and faults presented by the processing systems and report defects and faults to the nominated control centres. We'll also rely on you to record and report system failures and other reasons for the non-delivery of data in accordance with company procedures.
Supporting the review and monitoring of system functional performance, working with colleagues and suppliers to develop and deliver remediation activities and producing/maintaining accurate records - all are aspects of these business critical roles.
