We are currently searching for a Project Manager for the new building with a client in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The role will report in to the Saudi Arabia Country Director and the individual will be responsible for providing proactive and purposeful site project and team leadership.
The project is currently 80% complete and the new Project Manager will be tasked with managing the project and consultants site team through to completion of the project including the handover process.
What skills do you need?
Ideally you will have an engineering / commercial background that has developed into the project management of building projects.
You will hold a recognised and relevant tertiary qualification and will be chartered with a related professional institute.
You will have 15/ 20 years demonstrable project management experience for building projects
The ability to communicate clearly with our project stakeholders and to organise and motivate members of the project site management team
The ability to coordinate the planning, limited design and construction activities for projects.
Enthusiastic, engaging and robust able to adapt his or her style to the needs of the situation whilst safeguarding the interests of the practice and relevant relationships.
The skills to draft, monitor and update work plans to ensure the site team are functioning in a timely and efficient manner.
What you'll be doing
The Project Manager will be responsible for the planning and execution of a major building project based in Saudi Arabia. The Project Manager will take the lead in the following key activities:
Overall responsibility for management, direction and administration of the consultants project team
Prime site contact for the Client.
Assume the role of the Engineer.
Monitor the progress of the works and advise client of any delays that may affect the planned completion dates and recommend / monitor remedial action as appropriate
Conduct regular meetings with the Client and his representative
Conduct regular meetings with the contractor to review progress and quality of the works.
Monitor the progress of the works against the contractors programme and highlight delays and potential mitigation measures immediately.
Work with the Contract Administrator in reviewing and approving monthly valuation of works, variations and claims, and the settlement of the final account
Issue final completion certificate as appropriate and as agreed with the Client
Champion Health and Safety at the project site
Issue all project correspondence to both Contractor and Client.
