About the Business Line
We address the complete spectrum of energy challenges, including clean and renewable energy, energy efficiency and carbon management, hydropower and dams, thermal, geothermal and wind power generation, and transmission and distribution.

Job Summary
AECOM is seeking a Senior Project Developer, Hawaii Power & Energy Team Lead to help establish AECOM's power & energy capabilities in Hawaii and the Pacific region. Position will require travel, estimated to be 25-50% depending on project location and phase. Office location is Honolulu, HI.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • All aspects of energy services and Energy Savings Performance Contracting (ESPC), including long term energy planning, program development, identifying opportunities, establishing relationships with key clients and partners, developing and executing projects, structuring and closing transactions, assembling project financing and ensuring successful project implementation
  • Fill many different roles required to successfully identify, develop, manage and execute ESPC and other energy, power (both conventional and renewable) and water efficiency projects, including: business development, project development, project management, and others as required as AECOM develops its energy and power capabilities in Hawaii and other key areas throughout the Pacific

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelors of Science in Engineering, Science or Management/Business
  • 15 years energy planning experience (to include business development project development project management, etc)
  • 2 years coordinating all technical aspects of mid-size to large projects
  • High energy and motivation and an acute passion for developing sustainable energy solutions
  • Critical requirements include teamwork skills, knowledge of the energy industry, business development skills, project management experience, a strong technical background and the ability to develop high quality and creative opportunities in a fast-paced and ever-evolving industry
  • Experience with ESPC projects
  • Leadership and client management experience
  • Creative problem solving
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to deliver high quality and creative solutions in a fast-paced and ever-evolving industry
  • Self-directed personality
  • Ability to work with geographically distributed multi-discipline teams
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Project

Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional certification
  • Certified Energy Manager Certification
  • Licensed as Professional Engineer or Registered Architect
  • Masters of Science in Engineering, Science or Management/Business
