Director Consulting - Senior Product Developer (Insurance) Position Description Director Consulting - Insurance Senior Data Product DeveloperJob Description:We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Product Developer who is passionate about building data products for our clients in Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time with customers to understand their problems, and bring to life innovative data solutions for the P & C NA Senior Product Developer is accountable for the product development lifecycle: identifying new product ideas, testing those ideas against the market, identifying customer value propositions, and assembling the partner ecosystem necessary to deliver NA Product Developer will assess client data, create detailed business plans through extensive market/client research, and define new products for our P & C NA:• Define, design, and develop data products that are aligned with a client's needs, their business vision/strategy, and market demands.• Document and articulate product strengths to the client through the development of compelling product demonstrations, online seminars, etc.• Manage executive and stakeholder approval process to obtain approvals for new products • Document concept for market entry of new products and/or enhancements to meet existing or anticipated market needs and present according to established product development process• Develop business cases for new products that incorporate market analysis, customer value analysis, sales strategy, and other dimensions to fully articulate a case for a new or modified product• Ensure consistent execution of product lifecycle processes from concept to launch. Provide value-based prioritization of product development initiatives to ensure maximum ROI and market-driven alignment. • Develop product pricing and positioning strategies as well as translate product strategies into detailed requirements.• Produce high quality requirements and effectively prioritize and manage the scope of each product launch to deliver key capabilities on time and on budget. Write user stories to communicate customer needs. • Develop and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan for the product line, working with all departments to execute. Define positioning, packaging, operational requirements, and pricing. • Identify and track trends, product segment growth, market share, analyze competitive market place, understand customer problems, and find innovative solutions for the market• Maintain an awareness of the competition and other market forces affecting the products, through effective networking and mainstream research; provide key competitive information and product NA Skills:• Min of 7+ Years of experience with Product Development • Exceptional ability to persuade, convince, negotiate, and influence at various levels within an organization• Proven expertise with defining market and product requirements • Proven track record of using data and metrics to define and justify market and product requirements, build business cases, and measure product performance. • Experience creating positioning/messaging strategy and ability to present complex information clearly and concisely. • Demonstrated ability to build and deliver insightful/inspiring presentations to large audiences. • Experience managing multiple, competing priorities simultaneously with minimal supervision • Experience with of Agile / Scrum methodologies. • Experience with producing and delivering sales training and other go-to-market collateral. • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong technical expertise in software development and web technologies • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a proven ability to effectively lead a team to achieve short term and long term business results• Excellent organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detailEducation: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject or business degree preferred.
