CONDITION MONITORING - MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST The Opportunity This permanent full time position will be responsible for the condition monitoring of production equipment to improve performance and reduce failures. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in condition monitoring techniques providing expertise in vibration and lubricant analysis, thermography, data collection, root cause problem solving, failure analysis and other related methods. In this role you will use quantifiable measures and data to provide recommendations for the implementation of condition monitoring and predictive maintenance programs. This is a newly created position that provides the opportunity to collaborate with various levels of the manufacturing team and provide lead expertise to maintenance department. This is an opportunity to make direct impact on improving our manufacturing processes and equipment reliability. Anticipated shift will be Monday to Friday with occasional overtime and/or weekend requirements. Infrequent travel to other PBL facilities in Canada and USA may be required. Key Responsibilities Determine new methods of achieving optimal equipment performance and operation Establish maintenance performance indicators (KPIs) and define data collection methods and analysis to be performed Perform objective monitoring for machine condition and subjective monitoring by the Look, Listen and Feel method Develop and maintain database for analysis and reports Minimize production downtime by completing equipment monitoring and preventive maintenance inspections Generate work requisitions and notifications based on reports results of abnormal equipment performance Qualifications Red Seal Certification in a related trade or Engineering Minimum two years of related work experience in areas such as manufacturing, maintenance, reliability engineering or condition monitoring Knowledge of Vibration 1 & 2, Thermography 1, Basic Tribology, Bearing Failure Analysis, Electric Motor Analysis Knowledge and experience with Lean Management Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Access Databases with strong keyboarding skills · Demonstrated professional verbal and written communication skills Strong problem analysis (5y's), problem solving and troubleshooting skills Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems is an asset Ability to effectively plan and organize workload; adapting priorities to meet deadlines and future needs of the organization Aptitude for researching information and sourcing material to diagnose problems · Demonstrated ability to work within a project team and independently · Strong analytical skills; ability to make suggestions and implement improvements Pollard Banknote offers a challenging, team-oriented environment, competitive compensation, profit sharing program, company pension and opportunities for professional development.
