A full time bench joiner is required to join medium sized joinery company. Applicants must be experienced in producing start-to-finish quality bespoke architectural joinery.|
Our work is varied, dealing with a combination of high end fitted furniture and cabinetry work along with some of the more traditional items for both residential and commercial projects.
The bench joiner applicant must have the ability to set out and read workshop drawings, and accurately transfer them to their work for the marking out stage. Experience in machining is a requirement, along with competence in assembly and cleaning up to a high quality finish.
We do provide both a supply only and/or a supply and fit service so occasionally site installation will be required where the finished work will be transported and installed as part of a team.
Experience with woodworking machinery such as a spindle moulder, tenoner, planer and table saw is essential, as is using a range of power tools such as routers, belt sander, biscuit jointer etc. The bench joiner applicant will need to own their own set of appropriate carpentry and joinery hand tools and fulfil the following requirements.
Be honest, punctual, polite, smart, reliable and well presented.
Work well within a team environment following instruction.
Have the ability to work to deadlines under their own initiative and be self-motivated.
Possess good communication skills, read, write and speak fluent English.
Be physically fit.
