Technical Information Security Officer, c£80-£100k + bonus + bens|
Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Technical Information Security Officer to join this leading financial services organisation in their home counties head office. As part of a wider global IT security team headed by a former Deputy Director of the FBI you will serve as the security subject matter expert who understands the technical needs of the security environment and align those needs to the overall IT and business strategies within the organization. Within the team you will be developing an intelligence-driven approach to security in a highly collaborative and consultative environment that values everyone's ideas on how to best protect, detect and respond to the latest physical and cyber threats impacting the financial industry.
You will support products around Data Leakage Prevention (DLP), Enterprise anti-malware solutions, Secure Web Gateways, vulnerability management tools and SSL PKI. You will work with a fair degree of autonomy, so this requires a self starter who is assertive (without over confidence) with excellent and crisp messaging style and the ability to empathise with and articulate to, business and IT users of the importance of security implementations and controls and what needs to be done. You will be responsible for review and approval of endpoint security designs, configurations, baselines, and technical standards, identification & driving implementation of endpoint security controls across the organization and providing security consulting services to Information Security / IT on projects & general support matters. You will assist in research, design, and advocate new technologies and security products that will support security infrastructure requirements such secure configuration management for the organization, business partners and vendors. You will define endpoint vulnerability management requirements, create reporting metrics and report on a weekly basis and will also assist relevant infrastructure teams in installing new applications as well as version upgrades to existing applications based on the security requirements.
With at least 8 years within a technical IT role and 6 years with an security focus you can demonstrate proven, real world work experience in database access, databased compliance (Oracle, SQL), enterprise cloud solutions, encryption tools, and DLP tools. You can demonstrate experience running an enterprise wide initiative and understanding of all domains of security and an understanding of technical standards for unstructured data (access right, encryption, etc.), data classification, structured data, cloud, endpoint protection solutions, data at rest, in motion, in use, etc. You will have expert knowledge of data encryption technologies applied against Structured data, Unstructured data, Storage & Backups, Email, File Sharing, B2B connections together with hands on experience in the implementation of following data security technologies e.g. Tokenization, Data masking, Database Permissions. You have experience in the monitoring technologies e.g. Central Logging, Database Access Monitoring, DLP, Analytics, advanced Perimeter and Endpoint Monitoring and in implementing a Data Classification framework. You can also demonstrate a good understanding of audit / risk management methodologies and regulatory requirements pertaining to information security, privacy and/or data security and working knowledge of industry standards such as NIST, ISO, COBIT, COSO or ITIL. Experience of financial services and project management experience highly desired!
