The role :|
Ownership and management of complex HP and IBM technology opportunities
Technical qualification to ensure full understanding of the solution including creation of relevant configuration files - HP only .
Ensuring the correct commercial model by reviewing options available to match solution requirements - HP and IBM
Creating customer facing documents in appropriate format and including supporting documentation as required - HP and IBM
General pre and post sales assistance as required to support the HP and IBM business within SCC .
Duties will include :
Positioning yourself as a specialist resource for HP and IBM and proactively update and maintain knowledge on a regular basis .
Assist with high end specifications by speaking to customers as necessary in order to qualify requirements [HP] or support the specialist sales team in this activity [IBM].
Ensure that pricing submitted contains most appropriate pricing structures/programmes/bid.
Create customer facing quotations in appropriate format with any associated documentation as necessary .
Assist with pre-sales technology queries as required .
Be available to attend conference calls if relevant to assist in the quotation process .
Undergo appropriate training and obtain associated accreditations where relevant .
Provide support to the Operations team for any complex order requirements .
Maintaining communication with the sales teams and vendors .
Ensuring deals are approved in a timely manner , escalating when needed and involving SCC and IBM /HP partner management where and when required .
Management of take on business in relation to IBM and HP ensuring that SCC has the right information to take on the account successfully .
Provide aligned resource to support specific key accounts from a technology perspective moving forward .
Proactive deal registration and bid/pricing management on smaller deals via proactive opportunity reporting in MySCC.
Ongoing training /support to both the branches and wider teams to ensure best practice around around HP ISS and Lenovo .
Assistance with pipeline management as required .
Assistance with /management of any specific HP or IBM processes requiring vendor specialism .
Ensure delivery of key measures of success for the department , manage and mitigate risk of shortfalls .
Ensure appropriate training is undertaken .
Ensure department complies with all company policies and procedures .
Be responsible for delivering excellent standards in customer service .
Skills , knowledge and experience :
Proven experience in industry and good product knowledge .
Detailed knowledge of IT industry .
Understanding of the process of managing complex quotations and orders .
Good analytical skills .
Strong commercial skills.
