An opportunity has arisen within a successful plastic injection moulding manufacturing company, who are currently looking for a skilled Senior Process Technician to join their growing team. The Process Technician will be required to improve and sustain the injection moulding machine, tooling and processing performance.

The successful Senior Process Technician will be required to carry out the following duties but not limited to:
• Monitor the performance of the machines, tooling and process (against production targets & efficiencies)
• Troubleshoot the process and equipment (apply or identify corrective actions)
• Record and communicate the corrective actions
• Tool validation and trialling on new or modified tooling, materials and machinery
• Process optimisation
• Setting injection moulding machines
• Tool changes
• Set up, colour change documentation (company quality assurance manual)
• Ensure the correct use and maintenance of tooling, machines and ancillaries
• Ensure maintenance of tooling history and setting documentation
• Carry out colour/ material changes, and line clearances
• Understand and set various types of colour dosing and blending systems
• Assist in the training of other staff
• Supervise shifts during staff absences

To be successful in your application as a Senior Process Technician you will be required to hit the ground running and have previous experience within a similar role with the drive, enthusiasm and knowledge to progress & develop. Excellent knowledge of the injection moulding process, machinery, tooling, ancillary equipment and polymer materials is required. A formal processing qualification and experience with robot controls would be a distinct advantage. Ability to read engineering and tool drawings and communicate, at all levels, using correct terminology, verbally, in writing and using PC skills is required.

Salary: up to £32,000+ working on a fixed Double Day shift (Monday - Friday)
