We are working with a leading M&E Contractor to find them a client facing and commercially sound, Senior Mechanical (HVAC) Design who has worked on fast track commercial projects (CAT A & CAT B Fit Out) from concept to construction.|
Based in their City office, the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will be used to producing calculations, working and fully coordinated drawings, producing contractor's proposals and technical submissions and attending design team and site meetings.
You will scrutinise the M&E consultants designs and apply value engineering principals when appropriate, ensure that tight programmes are kept, carry out site surveys and ultimately ensure that the final designs comply with the Employers requirements and specifications.
This role will either suit a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer who has worked for both consultants and contractors or; a commercially aware Senior Mechanical Design Engineer who has extensive site experience within fast track CAT B Fit Out projects. It is essential that you are aware of the usual problems encountered on-site during the installation stages of a project and that you can spot these potential problems early and ensure that projects are still delivered within the tight deadlines.

This role would suit a personable individual who is keen to problem solve in a straight forward and effective manner whilst developing your skills and knowledge across design, project management, contract management and estimating.
