Excellent opportunity for a Planning Administrator with ideally 1 - 2 years experience in a planning / production control environment with strong administration skills to assist with the maintenance of an effective and efficient production planning process in accordance with the Business Objectives and Targets of this international organisation.
Skills & Experience:
•Good administration skills and happy to do this side of the role, but someone who is also capable of stepping into the role of Planning Officer when the current employee is on holiday etc.
•Someone who is happy and confident enough to stand up in meetings and present if required.
•Someone with a positive can do attitude that has the ability to question and challenge.
•Ideally someone who has 1-2 years' experience in planning/production control.
•MRP/SAP would be an advantage, but not essential.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Assist with the maintenance of the Efacs system forecasts based on sales analysis and to ensure they are co-ordinated with the Production and Sales Teams operations.
•Raise forecasts on the Efacs system using the information provided by sales as and when required and monitor and amend where required in accordance with the specified requirements of the Management System.
•Assist with maintaining the raising of works orders as required in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with the specified requirements of the Management System.
•Implementation and management of MPS and capacity planning.
•Analyse and manage MPS/MRP system and ensure that any amendments are resolved in a timely manner.
•Maintain the capacity planning system and ensure all times and routing data is accurate.
•Expedite all components and assemblies in accordance with the specified requirements of the MRPII system.
•Assist the Senior Planning Officer in the development and adoption of best practice to ensure compliance with the corporate objectives and targets relating to cost reduction.
•Assist the Senior Planning Officer in the generation of reports relating to Purchasing Team KPI's as defined by the Operations General Manager.
•Ensure regular liaison and co-working with interfacing departments to revolve any issues that may affect the performance of Bond Tester operations.
•Maintenance of Health and Safety and 5S in areas of responsibility
•Assist in improvements to current and future systems and implement 'best practice' as applicable.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT - Essential
•Good standard of general education.
•Strong administration skills/experience.
PREFERRED SKILLS & ABILITIES - Essential
•Experience of the Microsoft Office suite of products, in particular Word and Excel (to an intermediate level).
•Effective written and verbal communication skills.
