For our client we are looking for an experienced CAD Draughtsperson to join their team in London on a temporary basis. |
You must have previous experience using CAD-Duct and CADmep Software.
•To successfully carry out your duties and to safeguard the company's interests in this sector of its operations; this role may require you to take on additional duties relevant to a specific project, or your specified duties may need to be changed, as instructed by your Manager.
•To develop detailed drawings, co-ordinate and "site survey" where directed by the Associate Director / Contracts Engineer.
•To work fully in accordance with both the Quality Manual and Project Guidance document.
•To contribute and participate in the successful completion of the project.
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
•Check the Information provided by Associate Director / Contracts Engineer prior to commencement of drawing works and issue if necessary a Request for Information Sheet / E-mail to the Associate Director / Contracts Engineer for onward transmission to the client/consultant.
•To produce Drawings for approval/co-ordination purposes from clients disks and/or drawings and other technical information such as certified plant details and ensuring that the relevant project specific specification is adhered to. Additional project specific information issued by the Associate Director / Contracts Engineer may also be required. These drawings are to be spatially co-ordinated with the mechanical and electrical services, the structure and, where applicable, the false ceilings. Support bracketry and mating/stiffening frames must also be detailed.
•After client approval, add manufacture details, prepare schedules and issue drawings to the Lead Co-ordinator/Contracts Engineer, prior to the issue of the drawings to the central resource planning office via the Contracts Engineer.
•When Issuing a Drawing for manufacture provide the Lead Co-ordinator with the following package:-
oCompleted Works Status Check Sheet
oFire/Smoke and VCD schedules for all dampers located within the specific issue
oHAS Spiral schedules (if required)
oAir Leakage Test Sheets (to be advised by Construction Manager if required)
oCorrect Quantities of Drawing (Stamped and Highlighted as required)
•To complete site survey's and detail works orders/requisitions for site materials and special items which are not standard stock as directed by the Lead Co-ordinator or the Contracts Engineer.
•Ensure all HL drawings are checked for the following prior to issue:
a)Checks are made for commissionability against the system schematics provided by the consultant i.e. VCD's, Back-Draft Dampers, etc.
b)Co-ordination with adjoining HL drawings
c)Adequate setting-out dimensions and levels are detailed
d)All plant item's are as detailed in accordance with current procurement schedule and certified plant details supplied by Associate Director / Engineer
e)Co-ordination with the Commissioning Consultants
f)Drawings checked against QA check sheets
g)Drawings are produced for an economic installation with the parameters of the specification
h)Drawings indicate adequate supports both in type and quantity
i)Drawings issued for manufacture are checked against the QA check sheets and have adequate information to be processed by the PDP Operator
•To assist with training and supervise the Junior/Apprentice CAD Operators.
•Check through returned approval comments. To change the drawing to suit or to prepare sufficient information for other HL CAD operators to revise the drawing to suit the approval comments.
•To maintain a safe working environment in the office and/or on site.
•Issue a Weekly Time Sheet each Monday no later than 10.00 am.
•Produce Daily CAD Reports and Drawing Preparation Registers and issue to the Lead Co-ordinator/Contracts Engineer/Associate Director for checking each Monday detailing the activities for the week previous. CAD reports to include details of all relevant correspondence to enable the Surveyor to account for any additional items.
•Any other duties you are directed to complete by the Associate Director/Engineer.

Hourly rate £20-£25 depending on experience.
