My client are an established system integration and supplier organisation who operate throughout Northern Europe in turnkey conveyor based industries. They originally started out as a component manufacturer and have historically sold these products to integration companies. Over the last six years, the organisation have brought the system integration side of the business into their business strategy internationally and now the UK office has responsibility for projects that solely operate out of Europe, with a staff headcount of 135 people and turnover of approximately £60 Million per year.

They are looking to bring 80% control system design in house and provide a complete solution to their customers and have started an exciting journey over the last year to build a controls team covering Software Engineers, Electrical Engineers, System Integration Engineers, Project Managers and Commissioning Engineers.
They currently have a team of 30 engineers and are looking to double this within the next 12 months.
The responsibility of the Controls Engineer may include the following activities:
* Developing/configuring PLC software.
* Travelling to client sites and downloading and commissioning S7 software.
* Carry out alterations and change parameters in the code to ensure that it is fit for purpose.
* General fault finding on the machinery during the commissioning process.
* Handover of the finished system to the client.
You will be involved from new system design, in house testing to site commissioning and working on this delivery with a multi-disciplinary team. They use Siemens S7 PLC software and this would be advantageous but other platforms will be considered. There would be expectation to travel throughout the UK and Europe during commissioning stages.
Experience within conveyor system based industries would be preferred but all industries and level of experience will be considered.
They offer good market salary in addition to a car allowance. They offer mileage expenses for business trips but you would need to use your own transport for travel.
