Looking for a Project Manager to manage all projects within the Automation business unit and as directed by the Automation Business Manager. Specifically, responsible for the day to day management and control of the business unit projects, ensuring that all financial and contractual requirements, including build schedules, technical approvals, tests, delivery, installation and commissioning are achieved and ensuring that the customer is fully satisfaction. Also to provide technical support in relation to project management with all other areas of the business.

Other duties include;
*The management of all automation projects, as specified by the Automation Business Manager.
*Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress of each project.
*Ensure the appropriate level of resource is availability and appropriate allocation is made to each project.
*Assist in the definition of the scope and objectives of each project, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring the projects technical feasibility.
*Complete duties within the companies operating standards, code of conduct and legal responsibilities.
*Manage all projects within their targets for revenue and costs set by the customer contract and the business.
*Must have a good understanding and monitor the internal and external financial requirements of the project and the ability to successfully control project costs within these requirements.
*Must understand and monitor the project milestones and ensure that progress is being made to achieve these on a day by day basis.
*Coordinate internal resources and third parties / vendors for the flawless execution of projects
*Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
*Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
*Report and escalate to management as needed.
*Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
*Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
*Establish and maintain relationships with third parties / vendors.
*Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
*Must work within the company quality structure ISO (Apply online only).
*Ensure at all times that everyone involved in the project is fully engaged and is focused on ensuring that full customer satisfaction is achieved.
*To manage post installation work associated with the support and maintenance of installed equipment, and ensure these activities are properly documented.
*To be aware of legislation, codes of practice and operating standards associated with these duties, as would reasonably be expected, and to ensure proper compliance with them as an individual and for other staff when appropriate and as necessary.
*To actively seek new business opportunities, alerting the sales team to any opportunities identified.
*To identify potential improvements to company products (whether driven by customer feedback, the availability of new technology or other means) and communicate these clearly and effectively to other Automation Business Unit staff.

*Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
*Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
*An industry recognised project management qualification.
*Engineering degree qualified.
*Have a min 3 years' current experience working within the automation machine development industry.
*Have a min of 2 years' current experience project managing complex engineering projects within the automation industry.
*APM and / or PRINCE II certification is essential
