The Raleigh, NC office has an immediate opening for an experienced Project Accountant. This person will work independently under minimal supervision. Provides non-technical support to one or more Project Managers and/or Project Teams. Serves as an internal expert for other Project Accountants, mentoring and training staff of Project Accountant responsibilities. May direct or supervise other Project Accountants. Ensures contract, BMS and quality procedures of the particular operating company are met. Assures that all data in PBIS is up to date on assigned projects including funding, budgets and project maintenance.

Major Duties:
Responsibilities will include: Read and understand contracts, especially with regard to method of compensation and subconsultant terms; Completes project setups and modifications in Oracle; conducts reviews and approves project setups and modifications drafted by other Project Accountants; Completes complex project close-outs in PBIS; reviews and processes subconsultant invoices; establishes and maintains subconsultant purchase orders; directs billers on invoice requirements, including preparation, format and distribution; reviews draft invoice submittal and follows through to final approval; follow up on delinquent accounts receivable and/or unbilled costs and carries through to resolution; participate in project meetings; develop analyses on labor breakage, cost trending or other various project related financial reports on a regular and/or ad hoc basis and provide recommendations and actions to contribute to the project management strategy; review project financial performance; manage audit responses for project manager, meeting with auditors and satisfying auditor requests; Other duties as assigned.
