About the Business Line
AECOM's Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM's Government business line and is comprised of three divisions - International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. Job Summary

Develops and implements the URS Safety program and the Environmental and Industrial Hygiene compliance program. Responsible for support to the organization in ensuring compliance with environmental and safety laws and regulations to include DI-MISC-80508B, DoDD 4751,1, AR 95-1, AR 385-10, DA PAM 385-24, DA PAM 385-25, DA PAM 385-40, DA PAM 385-64, DA PAM 385-90, AR 95-20, AR 420-1, AFI 91-203, AFPD 09-8, OSHA 29 CFR 1910, National Electrical and Fire Codes and Ft. Rucker Regulation 710-3

Ensures URS compliance with operational control identified in applicable agency and Ft. Rucker Environmental Management System (EMS). Provides monitoring and measurement information relative to performance against goals of the EMS IAW AR 200-1. Oversees Environmental compliance, Air compliance, Painter certifications, Hazardous Material Management Program (HMMP), Spill Management, Waste reduction, and Energy and Utilities conservation. Reports directly to the General Manager and represents URS to Customer ES&H staff, including AMCOM G-4/ACLC ENV Environmental Officer and Air Force Wing/post/installation Safety Office.
  • Responsible for aiding the General Manager in the development and sustainment of an environmentally sound and compliant organization (including subcontractors).
  • Provides guidance and direction regarding environmental issues.
  • Relies upon extensive experience and judgment.
  • Establishes, modifies or directs the establishment or modification of procedures.
  • Responsible for keeping Customer and URS management and representatives apprised of on-going and long-term activities.
  • Identifies non-compliances/non-conformances, directs investigations and assessments and oversees preventative actions.
  • Contract Environmental Point of Contact.
  • Partners with US Army Environmental Offices.

Minimum Requirements
Requires a Bachelors' degree or equivalent in environmental science, engineering or a related discipline and a minimum of 8 years of directly related ES&H experience in an aviation sustainment organization. This experience must include 3 yrs of experience managing environmental, safety and/or health programs to support a large operation with a variety of job tasks. Possession of a professional certification is desirable. Demonstrated areas of experience must include:
  • Current working knowledge of standards and requirements in environmental, safety and health areas
  • Expert knowledge in safety program management
  • Excellent communication, analytical, project management and supervisory skills
  • Ability to handle multiple issues and projects in a changing environment
  • Ability to establish priorities in a changing environment
