About the Business Line
AECOM's Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM's Government business line and is comprised of three divisions - International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. GSS supports the U.S. Government, non-U.S. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support.

Job Summary

Plans, manages and coordinates the activities of assigned employees in the Operations area - including Aviation Maintenance, AMSS, Aviation Logistics, Engineering, Analytics, GFR & Procedures, and CFSRs - either directly or through subordinate managers. Reports directly to the General Manager. Either directly or through subordinate managers and supervisors:
  • Provides oversight and direction to the Operations Directorate.
  • Facilitates the creation of a work environment where safety, quality, Customer responsiveness are the core values.
  • Develops, communicates and directs long term planning to reach strategic improvement goals in Customer satisfaction, delivery of PWS requirements and employee involvement.
  • Responsible for keeping Customer Project Officer and Senior Management informed.
  • Ensures all performance, training and adherence to requirements are met.

Minimum Requirements
Requires a Bachelors' degree or 8 years of equivalent experience and a minimum of 20 years of directly related US Army aviation maintenance management experience in a comparable professional and/or management position; experience leading an organization of over 1,000 staff. Demonstrates the appropriate combination of experience, education, expertise and leadership to be successful in the overall management of a complex program. Experience must include the following:
  • Knowledge of policies and regulations governing Army aviation force requirements, maintenance and supply management and quality control.
  • Experience in the establishment or modification of processes to support aircraft maintenance, AMSS and logistics operations.
  • Expertise in AR 95-20 operations.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100 or AS9110 in an aviation sustainment environment
  • Familiar with commercial or commercial variant aircraft sustainment
  • Knowledge of principles of DoD Partnering, SOW compliance and subcontracts management.
  • Excellent program management skills, supervisory skills, communications skills and analytical skills.
  • Ability to conceptualize requirements, anticipate tasks recognize specific mission requirements.
