Job Summary
AECOM's Transportation Group - Southeast Region is growing again and is actively seeking a highly motivated Right of Way Project Manager for immediate employment. The AECOM Raleigh Right of Way Group works on a variety of right of way acquisition projects in North Carolina and all over the USA. This position is contingent upon award of contract.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Work as a Right of Way Project Manager on local and state projects in Raleigh and Fayetteville areas, including bridge improvement as well as road widening projects and design-build pursuits
  • Work as a senior acquisition agent on on-call projects; negotiate property acquisitions of behalf of the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) under the threat of condemnation
  • Provide advisory services in accordance to NCDOT procedures to residential and business displaces; perform relocation planning activities; develop relocation housing payments; prepare and/or review relocation claim packages
  • Perform quality control for right of way projects locally and nationwide
  • Utilize technical writing skills to assist in proposal writing, acquisition justifications for administrative increases and reports

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 10 years of experience in right of way project manager role, including 3 years of North Carolina NCDOT experience
  • North Carolina RE license
  • Thorough understanding of NCDOT Right of Way guidelines and procedures
  • Right of way experience
  • Ability to execute quality control procedures for structure design plans
  • Thorough knowledge of 49CFR Part 24
  • Thorough knowledge of NCDOT Right of Way Manual
  • Ability to work with multi-disciplined teams and communicate with engineers from other disciplines
  • Must possess a valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications
  • 15 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience working with local municipalities and/or NCDOT division offices
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
