We support our employees globally by coordinating and managing the day-to-day operations of General Accounting, Human Resources, Administration, Marketing and Information Technology. Job Summary
AECOM are looking to appoint an Assistant Financial Accountant (AFA) on a six month secondment. The AFA will report to the Senior Financial Accountant and will be responsible for the day to day monitoring and control of cash management activities and support in the month end reporting cycle.

You will be part of the Global Business Services group, Record to Report team based in the company's head office in St Albans, your duties will include:
  • Monitor, control and reconcile the Company's bank accounts on a daily basis ensuring accounts are reconciled and closed in accordance with the Group's reporting calendar
  • Provide support and assistance in the identification and allocation of cash receipts and payments. Liaising with AR and AP team members where appropriate
  • Monitor, control and reconcile the Company's Fixed Asset register
  • Processing IC re-charges and sundry invoicing
  • Assist in the month end process including the preparation of General Ledger journals, General Ledger reconciliations etc.
  • Assist in the preparation of the Company's Annual Statutory Financial Statements

Minimum Requirements
  • Working towards Accounting Qualification
  • Good working knowledge of Oracle
  • Understand monthly financial processes
