Position Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthuiastic and committed individual to joing a busy team as an Administration Apprentice. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to all areas of the College.

The successful candidate will be given full on job training alongside undertaking a Business Administration Apprenticeship programme

  • Carry out Administrative duties in support of Defence Sixth Form College (DSFC) activies
  • Dealing with inter-face enquiries from students, college staff and military personnel
  • Receive and appropriately direct phone calls and messages in a professional, promp and helful manner
  • Deal with incoming and outgoing mail and parcels, sorting appropriately and distribute to the correct addressee
  • Receive visitors at the Helpdesk, determine the appropriate DSFC host and arrange for the visitor to be collected or directed accordingly
  • Log reactive work calls on the Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system for Estates Management, Catering, Cleaning and Transport
  • The delivery of reprographics and photocopying facilities to support personnel at DSFC

What we are looking for
  • An ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Strong organisation and literacy skills
  • Computer literate with a good working of Microsoft Office packages
  • Excellent communication skills both face to face and via the telephone
  • Good time management and the ability to prioritise and organise workloads
  • Willing to learn and commit to the apprenticeship
  • Motivated and enthusiastic with a passion to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Matur e and friendly attitude in the workforce
  • Ability to work as a reliable member of the team

Additional Information
  • Fixed Term Contract for one year
  • Full Time position working 37.5 hours per week
  • Shift pattern working f ive days from seven
