Supervision Received
    • Receives technical and operational supervision from Giza-Fayoum Lead Instrumentation Field Engineer.
B. Supervision Exercised
    • Provides technical direction to subordinate and others, as assigned.
C. Contacts
    • Jobsite contacts are with field engineers, superintendents and subcontractor's personnel associated with Giza Fayoum plant
    • Interface with subcontractor field engineering and field personnel to resolve any design-related issues.

Position Duties/Responsibilities
    • Foster and promote safety as a core value in all works which includes participating, holding and attending daily and weekly safety meetings. Attend safety toolbox talks prior commencement of work. Attend safety walks with HSE leads and Area Superintendents.
    • Quality Control of Installation by Sub-Contractor.
    • Coordinate, perform and record testing activities
    • Review weekly & monthly schedule and assist Construction with planning activities.
    • Supervise and coordinate daily with subcontract representatives on Instrumentation activities.
    • Hold weekly progress meetings with subcontractor to validate provided input and ensure progress is following the project schedule & contract requirements.
    • Submit daily report as per project requirements
    • Ensure subcontract daily report is actual & reports all problems that can affect field work.
    • Knowledge of the subcontractor's responsibilities contained in subcontract documents.
    • Ability to transition to Bechtel's programs (training will be provided)
    • Ensure current revision documents are utilized for installation.
    • Responsible for the implementation of Bechtel corporate/project policies, procedures and instructions as assigned.
      • Review and verify P&IDs or other project documents as assigned.
      • Support & contribute in permit to work/work authorization as assigned.
      • Support and contribute to Bechtel zero incident program as assigned.
      • Liaise, arrange and handover with back to back for shift changes.
      • Inspect instrumentation materials and consumables that arrive to site, and provides technical support to field procurement with proper storage of instrumentation materials.
      • Verify subcontractor's installed quantities are reported timely and accurately
      • Controls measuring and testing equipment (M&TE), verifies current calibration, maintains log of calibration and maintenance of M&TE

    • JOB KNOWLEDGE: Degree in Instrumentation or Electronics Engineering will be highly regarded
      • Knowledge of Government Legislation, Codes of Practice including applicable Egyptian standards.
      • Knowledge of the operation of instrumentation and controls systems of the Giza Fayoum Plant.
      • Solid instrumentation and Controls construction and operation experience especially in gas projects
      • Hazardous area experience will be highly regarded.
      • Ability to communicate in English and Arabic highly preferred
      • Strong experience in liaising with and coordinating subcontractors
      • This position is based in Alexandria and applicants must already possess the right to live and work in Egypt. This is a national contract position and the successful applicant will be employed by a third party company to provide services to Bechtel
