Job Description: Hours: Monday - Friday 9.00am - 2.30pm (27.5 hr) Role overview: - Responsible for handling administration of the company's purchase and sales ledgers - Complete transactional postings, account reconciliation - Deal with customer statements and associated queries. - Build and maintain close links with all customers and suppliers, to ensure smooth running of accounts and encourage timely recovery of payments. - Ability to liaise with internal staff to resolve queries. - Flexibility to assist with other financial functions where necessary. Duties and responsibilities: - Efficiently and accurately raise all company sales invoices and distribute to customers - Timely and effective collection of all debts / payments - Maintaining contact with customers to ensure invoices are clear for payment - Posting and allocating daily invoice and receipts to accounting systems - Providing accounts information to internal departments - Assist with company payroll and expenses - Check all incoming invoices for accuracy, raising and resolving queries as / when required Candidate Requirements: Education & Experience Required: - Ability to reconcile accounts and have excellent attention to detail - Ability to establish and maintain good relationships, both internally and externally at all levels - Competence in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Navision) and Sage accounting software - Understanding of company payroll - Calm, confident manner to handle potentially uncomfortable conversations Personal attributes required: - Friendly disposition and an effective team player - Outstanding interpersonal skills coupled with effective organisation - Able to perform under pressure and make decisions - Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks - Excellent problem solving, organisational and progress control skills - Good time management & self-motivated - Strong oral and written communication skills - Clear and forward thinker What are some of the other benefits?
