We are looking for an experienced Principal Engineer to join the development of one of the biggest and most successful mobile releases of 2016. We are a company that the set standards, shapes the industry and never follows or copy our competitors. We need someone passionate about new technology to help improve our current build process and take things to the next level Role: Principal Engineer, Principal Programmer, Lead Developer, Head of Development, Lead Programmer, Lead Engineer Experience: C#, C++, Unity, Mobile Games, free to play games, f2p, Go, PHP, Java, C, Actionscript, Polyglot Salary: £DOE Location: commutable from Central London, Soho, Croydon, Ilford, Wembley, Hornchurch, Barking, Dartford, Bexleyheath, Enfield Responsibilities: - Lead all programmers on the project - Have an active role in scheduling and project co-ordination using Agile - Create, maintain and optimise game features - Produce professional C++/C# code - Proactively highlight and solve potential issues in code - Deliver the vision of the Product Lead's core game - Enforce best practices for documentation Skills and Experience: - Expert C++ / C# - High proficiency writing optimised real-time code - Experience creating complex game projects in Unity - Excellent time management and organisation skills - Exposure to line management responsibilities including man-managing, motivating and shaping the team culture - Experience of leading and mentoring a team of 5 developers - Proven ability to expertly diagnose issues and solve complex problems Desirable skills: - Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering - Go/PHP/Objective C/ Java / C/ Actionscript (we love Polyglot engineers) - Functional programming experience - Commercial experience on scalable distributed mobile systems - Experience reacting to operational issues in a live online game - A passion for computer games, specifically racing, social and mobile Benefits: - Contributory Pension scheme and company Stock Options - Flexible working hours - Casual Dress - Child Care Vouchers and Cycle to work Scheme - Annual Bonus - Bi Annual Staff parties If you are interested in the opportunity to work for this international leading studio call Katie Edwards on or email your CV detailing your desired start and salary requirements This ad is posted by CV Bay on behalf of a client.
